UPSC 2021 Result has been released by the Union Public Service Commission recently in the last week of May 2022. This time the UPSC Civil Services results were governed by women candidates. Everyone was busy celebrating their success when a tweet from a young man who lost the fight for the sixth and final time touched hearts. Rajat Sambyal wrote in his message that he last listed UPSC exam with only 11 marks. His tweet however was not the mark of a lost battle, and so was his sentiment, which he wrote, “10 years of hard work ended in ashes… and I still rise”. The words were true to the spirit of a warrior and echoed in many lost minds. Suddenly good luck started pouring in for her and people not only consoled her but also gave her the support she needed.

Rajat Sambyal posted his marksheet in which his score on paper one was 112, 84 on paper 2 and 110 on paper 3. He secured 87 marks in Paper 4, 93 marks in Paper 5, 169 marks in Paper 6 and 138 marks in Paper 6. 7. Their total written out became 793. He scored a massive 149 in his personality test or UPSC interview.

Those who have attempted UPSC CSE at any point of time were sympathetic to Rajat’s position. He fell short by only 11 marks and could not qualify for UPSC Civil Services Exam.

Rajat’s tweet went viral on Twitter and people gave different opinions. One of the users mocked Rajat Sambyal saying, “10 years wasted bro. You lost most of your youth years in this pursuit. At least you could work or have a business and have a lot of money.” could earn.”

Since Rajat has lost all his efforts, many have questioned what he will do. Trust me, when I tell you, this is the plight of lakhs of candidates every year. Also above all it is bothering Rajat more than you. So instead of making fun of him or her choices, one can try to be sympathetic or stay away from it. Before commenting, one needs to understand the seriousness with which every UPSC aspirant strives for this exam.

Like many other aspirants, Rajat Sambyal’s life will take a different direction with the weary efforts of UPSC. He needs to give his all again, work hard and tirelessly to make up for the lost 10 years of his life.

There will be many who will be pulling him down and saying that his life is over or his youth is over but it is not so.

What to do after all the UPSC attempts are over?

Those with unsuccessful or tired UPSC attempts can take such career paths:

  1. Apply for other government exams: There are some government exams and initiatives that consider candidates on the basis of their UPSC performance if they fail. One can check there required qualification and start their career again.
  2. Try to work for an NGO: Candidates appearing for UPSC CSE have additional knowledge about various subjects which are essential for a well run NGO. There anyone can use their services.
  3. Fellowship Program: It is never too late to study more. Complete your post-graduation and pursue doctoral program to become a professor and impart the knowledge gained over the years. Also earn good money.
  4. Teaching: This is the most noble deed ever. Hence, there is a need for teachers like UPSC aspirants because all-round development of a personality takes place during the preparation of this exam. Just remember, UPSC preparation never goes in vain.

So, even after their attempts in UPSC Civil Services are over, candidates are left with no options.

This year the Prime Minister also gave a message to those who failed in the Civil Services Examination. he said, “I completely understand the frustration of those who could not clear the Civil Services Examination, but I also know that these are outstanding youth who will make their mark in any field and make India proud. My best wishes to them “
